Third Ebola Patient Discharged From Emory Hospital

An American doctor who was infected with the Ebola virus while working in Sierra Leone has been released after receiving successful treatment at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The patient, who has requested anonymity, was discharged Oct. 19 after he was found to be free of the virus. Two other patients have been successfully treated for Ebola at the Emory facility. A fourth, Amber Joy Vinson, is currently receiving treatment there after contracting the virus while caring for an Ebola patient who later died at a Dallas hospital.
