Five Lives Saved From Donated Organs of Santa Ana Beating Victim

Kim Pham's heart, lungs, kidneys, pancreas, and liver were donated, as were tissues that could help heal more people.

The donated organs of Kim Pham, the 23-year-old woman who was beaten outside of a Santa Ana, Calif., nightclub last Saturday, have saved five lives, officials said.

Pham was declared dead on Sunday, but remained connected to a ventilator until Tuesday to make sure her organs would be available for transplantation, according to a statement issued by OneLegacy, the non-profit handling the donation.
