Police Identify Suspect in Fatal Memphis Officer Shooting

Police have identified a suspected in the fatal shooting of a Memphis police officer during a traffic stop, authorities said Sunday.

The suspected shooter, identified as 29-year-old Tremaine Wilbourn, remains at large and a warrant for first degree murder has been issued for his arrest, officials said.

The slain officer, Sean Bolton, 33, was shot multiple times during the traffic stop on Saturday evening.

The driver of the vehicle turned himself into police before being released.

Wilbourn was the passenger of the vehicle. 

Police said he had been out on supervised release following a 10-month sentence for bank robbery.
