Prius Winds Up on Car in Hollywood, CHP Says Not Case of Road Rage

A Prius ended up on top of another car at a freeway off-ramp in Hollywood Saturday.

No one was injured in the crash, which occurred at the Hollywood Boulevard exit of the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver who said he saw the crash said road rage was involved, but a CHP spokesman said there was no yelling or arguing at the scene and it wasn't being investigated as a case of road rage. It was unclear what caused the incident, the spokesman added.

But Matt Lazarus, who said he was in his car on the same off-ramp, told NBC4 that the Prius was "slamming the car in front of it and behind it," eventually driving onto the car behind it.

The person who reported the crash also told the CHP that the Prius backed onto the car behind it. Another CHP spokesman again confirmed Sunday that the crash was not being investigated as a case of road rage.
