A high school teacher in Texas has a reason to smile after one of his students surprised him with a pair of shoes that he has longed for since he was 12 years old.
Hector Montez, a senior at Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas, showed his appreciation for his teacher, Thomas Walser, by giving him something he has wanted for most of his life: a pair of Air Jordan XII sneakers.
"It's good to give back to the man who’s always been by my side," Montez said in a tweet along with a video capturing the special moment.

With a big smile on his face, Walser tried on tried his new sneakers, and then hugged Montez to show his gratitude.
Walser tweeted a photo of his brand new kicks saying, "when your kids buy you the shoes you’ve wanted since you were 12! I love my AVID kids so much!"
