Twitter CTO Adam Messinger Leaves Company After 5 Years

Twitter chief technology officer Adam Messinger has decided to leave the company and "take some time off," he tweeted on Tuesday.

He thanked company CEO Jack Dorsey in his tweet.

According to the company web site, Messinger joined Twitter in 2011 from Oracle, where he was vice president of development and led the development of Java and Exalogic.

Earlier in his career he worked at O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures, WebLogic, Organic, and the Santa Fe Institute.

He is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was a Sloan Fellow, and Willamette University, where he was a G. Herbert Smith Scholar.
