Bondi Re-Elected as Florida Attorney General

All three Republican incumbent Florida Cabinet members have been re-elected by voters across the state.

Attorney General Pam Bondi faced the toughest challenge Tuesday against Democratic challenger George Sheldon, who once led the Florida Department of Children and Families and served in the Legislature. Bondi outraised Sheldon by an almost 3-to-1 margin.

Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater and Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam both ran against little-known Democratic opponents, William Rankin and Thaddeus Hamilton, respectively.

Beyond running their respective departments, the attorney general, CFO, and agriculture commissioner, are part of the Cabinet along with the governor. Each has a vote on pardons, and its members serve on a variety of state boards and commissions.
