Jeb Bush Makes South Florida Stop

Jeb Bush made a stop in South Florida Friday, one day after he set social media abuzz regarding his anticipated announcement of a run for president.

Bush appeared with his wife at the Adrienne Arsht Center where he delivered remarks at a Foundation for Excellence in Education event to honor the 2015 Arts For Life Scholarship Winner.

On June 15 at Miami Dade College, Bush is expected to officially declare his candidacy for president. He has spent the last few months raising money using Political Action Committees. But, once someone officially declares their run, they are limited in the amount of donations they can receive.

"Look we're complying with all the laws... there are other candidates in the exact same position I'm in," Bush said. "When I announce my decision a week from Monday, my hope is that people get a sense of what the campaign could be about, why I'm doing this.... what makes me qualified to actually run and perhaps be President of United States."

Senator Marco Rubio, also from sSouth Florida, is already a Republican candidate, so Florida will have to choose between two local Republican favorites.
