Aly Raisman's Teammates Pen Her a Heartfelt Letter

Aly Raisman, as the oldest member of the Final Five, has been a mentor of sorts to the rest of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team.

And after Raisman won silver Thursday night in the all-around final, she returned to her room in the Olympic Village and found a sweet, hand-written note penned by her youngest teammates — Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian.

On Instagram Raisman added, “I have the best teammates. Gabby sent me the sweetest text. When we walked in the door Laurie, Madison & Gabby swarmed us with lots of hugs.”

Perhaps the best part of the note was what Hernandez and Kocian called Raisman: “Mama Aly,” which is a nod to the role she played for the Final Five throughout their journey to Rio.

Meanwhile, Raisman also added a little teaser on Instagram to what the team will be wearing on the floor final. “It makes us feel like super girl,” she said with a wink.
