Bills Complete Sweep of Dolphins

The Dolphins were beaten by the Buffalo Bills for a second time this season on Sunday

The Miami Dolphins were no match for the Buffalo Bills again in their 33-17 loss on Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

This marked the second time this year that Buffalo made it look easy against Miami. Despite a new coaching staff and renewed optimism, the Dolphins resembled the same squad that lost earlier this season. In that game during the third week of the season, Buffalo won 41-14 in what was Joe Philbin's penultimate game as head coach.

Some of the blame for this loss can fall in the laps of the coaching staff. There were multiple questionable decisions in terms of time management. After starting his head coaching career with a 2-0 record, Dan Campbell has seen his team lose two straight.

Ryan Tannehill had a so-so day despite not finding the end zone. Miami's quarterback was 27-36 for 309 yards. A promising sign for Tannehill was he threw no interceptions. In last week's loss to New England, Tannehill was picked off twice. Controlling the ball however was a problem as Tannehill fumbled it twice. Miami's opening drive of the game also ended quickly on a bad snap that resulted in a safety.

Lamar Miller rushed for two touchdowns as part of a 44 yard day for the running back. Miller only averaged 3.7 yards per carry with his longest run going for 14 yards. Miller now has three rushing touchdowns this season.

In his first game of the year, fellow runner Jay Ajayi played well with 41 yards on eight carries. Miller should continue to see the bulk of the ground game for Miami even with Ajayi back.

Miami will stay on the road when it heads to Philadelphia next Sunday for a game with the Eagles at 1:00 p.m.
