Dolphins Cut LB Channing Crowder

Crowder cut after first day of practice

If Dolfans were waiting to see how long it would take for Channing Crowder to say something controversial, they'll have to see him do it in another uniform.

The loud-mouthed linebacker was cut by the team Friday on the first day of practice. in fact, officials let Crowder practice before breaking the news to him, the Miami Herald reported.

Crowder, who was often maligned for his big talk, but small play on the field, was scheduled to make $5 million this season.

The former Florida Gator made 39 tackles last year in 11 games. Since being drafted in 2005 by Miami, Crowder has tallied 469 tackles and only 2.5 sacks and one interception.

Crowder's largest impact may have been felt in the previous two preseasons when he railed on the hated New York Jets and his feud with their head coach Rex Ryan.

We must admit, the "OTA Champions" was a classic line and you gotta love a guy who says he is willing to be the living day lights out of a near senior citizen and actually mean it.
