Dolphins Fall to Cowboys in Another Loss at Home

The Dolphins have a paltry 1-3 record at home this year after Sunday's loss to Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys entered Sunday's game with seven losses in a row before beating the Miami Dolphins by a final score of 24-14.

With the loss, The Dolphins have only a 1-3 record when playing as the home team. One of those losses came in London with the other two at the not-so-friendly confines of Sun Life Stadium. This is a worrisome statistic for the Dolphins as they will play four of their remaining six games on their home field.

The loss for Miami dropped the team's record to 4-6 this season which makes a possible postseason run even more difficult. In order to qualify for the playoffs, it is likely that Miami will have to win most if not all of its remaining games.

The scoring for Dallas got started early into the second quarter when an errant pass by Ryan Tannehill was picked off and returned for a touchdown. While it would end up the only interception of the day for Tannehill, he struggled to find a rhythm overall. Miami's quarterback had a 13-24 day which was good for 188 yards overall.

The Dolphins did not get on the board until the final seconds of the first half. A touchdown pass from Tannehill to Kenny Stills closed the gap from 14 to 7 as the teams headed into the locker room. The Dolphins would then tie the game midway through the third quarter on Tannehill's second TD pass of the day.

Things went south following that second score as Dallas scored ten unanswered points to secure the victory. The game featured the return of Tony Romo who had missed every game during Dallas' long skid. While his team won, Romo was far from his best. The veteran QB was picked off twice with Neville Hewitt and Brent Grimes each coming away with a pick.

Miami will travel to New York next Sunday as they look to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Jets at 1 p.m.
