Dolphins Lose Knowshon Moreno and Game

Knowshon Moreno exited Sunday's game early with a left elbow injury that could turn into a multi-week problem

The Miami Dolphins were dominated from start to finish in a 29-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday for their first defeat of the year.

In addition to losing the game, running back Knowshon Moreno left early with a left elbow injury. Moreno's arm bent backwards during a tackle by Nigel Bradhan in the first half. The running back who led all of the NFL with 132 yards in week one was immediately taken out of the game. Moreno finished with one carry for four yards.

Moreno will likely miss 4-8 weeks with the injury according to the Miami Herald.  The report states that the left elbow is dislocated and also possibly fractured.

In what has become a poor trend, Ryan Tannehill had trouble with the Bills in this one. The quarterback was sacked four times for 31 yards. At the tail end of the 2013 season, the QB was sacked seven times in Buffalo. The Bills also swept Miami in 2013 and are halfway to doing the same in this season.

The Dolphins combined for only 80 yards total in the running department with Moreno out of the game. Without a running attack, the Bills knew the Dolphins would rely more on the passing game which factored into Tannehill's struggles. The QB threw 49 passes and did complete 31 of them but he was picked off once and had only one touchdown pass.

In addition to the INT from Tannehill, the Dolphins gave the ball away once via a fumble. Jarvis Landry fumbled the ball which was recovered by the Buffalo defense.

The Dolphins will head back home and prepare for a game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Sun Life Stadium next Sunday.
