Dwyane Wade Out Indefinitely with Hamstring Strain

Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade is out indefinitely and could be out until the NBA All-Star break with a strained right hamstring. It’s the third time he’s had to miss games with hamstring problems this season.

“Of course it has me frustrated, where I stand I really don’t know. This is the second day of a pulled hamstring,” Wade said Thursday. “When you work as hard as me and to deal with the same thing, it’s kind of frustrating. But what are you going to do?”

Wade strained his right hamstring during a Tuesday game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Heat guard said he was chasing a Bucks player on defense and the hamstring just gave way. Wade also said that there is currently no time-table for his return.

“You can’t put a time on it,” Wade said. “You can’t look at the hamstring and say you’re going to be out this number of games. Like any muscle strains you have to go day by day.”

Still, Wade kept his sense of humor about the injury asking why he couldn’t get a simple injury like a bruised wrist? “Why can’t I fall on my wrist or elbow or something? I’ll take that right now,” Wade said smiling.

“It’s a part of basketball and a part of getting older. Your body responds differently, so you gotta find a way to kind of work with it,” Wade said.
