Dwyane Wade Re-Signs with the Miami Heat: Reports

Calls Himself a #HeatLifer

The Miami Heat continued filling out their post-LeBron James roster by re-signing the superstar who has been a Heat player his entire career, Dwyane Wade.

Wade has been expected to re-sign with the Heat for several days. The team has been busy signing players and trying to fit everything under the salary cap since LeBron left for Cleveland last Friday.

According to the Associated Press, the deal is reportedly for 2 years and worth around $34 million with a player option next season. The contract will pay him approximately $8 million less than the two years and $42 million contract he was under this past season, but opted out of before free agency started.

Wade took to social media Tuesday to say that he was a #HeatLifer:

Wade, who has taken two straight pay cuts in contracts to help the team, can still cash in on one more big deal depending on what happens this season. For his career, Wade has earned more than $120 million from his Heat contracts alone.
