Greatest Miami Heat

A list of the all-time greatest Miami Heat players begins and ends with Dwyane Wade. After a stellar college career at Marquette in Milwaukee, the Heat drafted D-Wade in the first round of the 2003 draft. And he immediately made an impact, earning All-Rookie honors and finishing third in rookie of the year voting. After a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in '04-'05, Wade established himself as one of the top players in the NBA, when he led the Heat to their first ever championship, taking MVP of the NBA Finals honor by averaging 34.7 points per game. The next two seasons saw Wade on the sidelines for portions of both years, as Wade battled shoulder and knee injuries. But Wade was back to form in '08-'09. He broke Alonzo Mourning's franchise scoring record and was the NBA's leading scorer.
