Heat May Be Without Chalmers in Game 2

The Miami Heat may be without starting point guard Mario Chalmers when the team takes the court again on Wednesday for Game 2 of the first round playoff series against the Charlotte Bobcats.

According to The Miami Herald, Chalmers is listed as questionable for Game 2 after suffering a knee bruise in Game 1 on Sunday. Chalmers played 25 minutes in Game 1 despite the injury.

If Chalmers can’t go in Game 2, backup point guard Norris Cole or Toney Douglas would get the starting nod from Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra.

The Heat has had its way with Charlotte all season long. Miami averaged 104.6 points per game while shooting better than 50 percent from the field against the Bobcats through four regular season games and Game 1 of the playoffs.

Miami will tip-off Game 2 against the Bobcats on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
