O’Neal will become the third Heat player to have his jersey retired, following Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway.

While playing alongside Dwyane Wade and Mourning, O’Neal helped lead the franchise to the first of three NBA championships. He also scored his 25,000th career point while wearing a Heat uniform, becoming the 14th player in NBA history to ever do so.
