Jacory Harris Sports Short Overalls, Remains Fly While Doing So

If they gave a Heisman for style, someone would need his pink pimp suit.

Sometimes, we just feel terrible for fans of other college programs.

What good is a team if it doesn't produce alumni wearing bubbles and riding ravens into space? What is the point of football without swagger? And what would it be like if your starting quarterback doesn't wear Oakland Raiders-themed overalls to class?

We hope we never find out.

"Going to class with an Oakland raiders snap back [hat], no shirt, with the Oakland Raiders overalls!" Miami's junior QB Jacory Harris announced via Twitter this morning. "Fly!!!!!! I'm me!!"

Indeed he is. The accompanying photo, in which Jacory is, in fact, wearing short NFL overalls without a shirt, is one of the most entertaining images of a college quarterback we've seen in some time -- edging out even any of these shots of Chris Rix and Harris's sharp sartorial splendor of last season.

It is nothing short of spectacular. He looks like he rolled around on a chalk painting, or just joined Kriss Kross. It is everything we never knew we always wanted: while it might not be good to see Jacory's nipples in class, as such things go, it is good to see a blindingly confident quarterback just days before he takes on the biggest game he's seen yet under center.

The Canes have everything to prove on Saturday, and absolutely no comfort zone in Columbus. Ohio State is ranked no. 2, the game is on ESPN prime time, and a write-up about What It All Means happens to have been ESPN's most e-mailed article of yesterday. There's pressure from the program's alumni to make a statement, to avenge the infamous pass interferance call that killed a repeat championship attempt in 2002.

For Harris' Hurricanes, who enter hostile, packed, and loud territory in their quest to prove a point, it's going to take unwavering confidence not to get rattled -- and if Harris can actually walk around proudly in short Oakland Raiders overalls, we imagine there's not much even a stout Ohio State line can do to shake him.
