Late Magical Three Forces OT in Heat Victory

Henry Walker sank a three-pointer with two seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime

Henry Walker was a hero for the Miami Heat on Wednesday in their 93-90 overtime win over the Orlando Magic.

Walker, who is currently on a ten-day contract, sank a game-tying three-pointer with only two seconds left in regulation. Overall, Walker had ten points and six boards in his 33 minutes of play off the bench.

The win was Miami's second in a row and gave it a bit of breathing room in the Eastern Conference standings. The Heat are now 1.5 games ahead of eighth place Brooklyn and they also remain 6.5 back of Milwaukee for the sixth slot.

The Heat trailed by four points at the half but tied the game up heading into the fourth quarter. The three from Walker was a rare make from downtown on the day. As a team, Miami was a paltry 6-31 on trey attempts.

Luol Deng contributed 21 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal in 40 minutes. The Heat were +9 with Deng on the court and needed every minute from the veteran. Deng has not played 40 minutes much this season but showed no signs of fatigue down the stretch.

In his third game with Miami, Goran Dragic did not light up the stat sheet but played a pivotal role. In fact, the Heat were +11 with Dragic on the court which was the best +/- on the roster. Dragic had eight points and five assists while running the offense for 41 minutes.

The Heat will travel to New Orleans on Friday for a game against the Pelicans at 8:00 p.m.
