Marino To Take Part in Flag Football Game With Fellow NFL Hall of Famers

Dan Marino, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice will join other NFL greats for a flag football game at Candlestick Park

Dan Marino is headed to San Francisco to help close down Candlestick Park. The legendary QB will join Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and more for a game of flag football.

The game which is being called "Legends of Candlestick" will take place on July 12, 2014 and will be the final football game played at the longtime home of the San Francisco 49ers.

Joining Marino, Montana, and Rice will be the likes of Roger Craig and Dwight Clark among others. It will be flag football rules with Montana leading the team of Rice, Craig and Clark. Marino's teammates have yet to be announced but are sure to include more star names in what should be an unforgettable night.

Preceding the game will be another flag football game between the San Francisco Police Department and San Francisco Firefighters, as well as a private party a day earlier. The events are all part of the “Last Summer at the Stick” series in honor of the end of the famous stadium.

The 49ers will be moving into Levi's Stadium for the upcoming season. Candlestick Park will be demolished in 2015 according to SFGate.com.

For those interested in attending the "Legends of Candlestick" game, tickets will be available starting on May 10, 2014 and will range from $30 - $50.
