The Marlins are still in the playoff race after beating the Washington Nationals 9-6 Friday night.

However, it is unclear how much longer the injury-plagued team can hold up.

But still, it was the third victory in a row for the Fish so they are proving to be pretty resilient in September, when it counts most.

Catcher John Baker homered and had a career high four RBIs. Jorge Cantu also homered, driving in two runs and Hanley Ramirez drove in two runs.

The two teams meet again tonight in Washington.
