Cody Ross hit a two-run homer Saturday, allowing the Marlins to top the Phillies 6-4.
The Marlins won their second in a row against Philadelphia Saturday thanks to Cody Ross.
Ross hit a go-ahead two-run homer off Cole Hamels in the sixth inning, allowing the Marlins to win 6-4 and move within five games of the NL East-leading Phillies.
Today, they will try to complete the three-game sweep with ace Josh Johnson on the mound. Chris Coghlan hit a leadoff homer and Brian Sanches (2-1) pitched a scoreless inning in relief to earn the win against his former team.
Before coming to Philly, Florida was swept by the woeful Washington Nationals in a three-game series.
"It shows our team, we fight back and we still have some work to do tomorrow and hopefully we get that," Coghlan said.
