Miami Native, NFL Receiver to Wear Cleats Honoring Late South Florida Sports Stars Before Sunday's Game

This weekend, the Miami Dolphins will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in an AFC matchup between two teams going in opposite directions. It will also be a homecoming for Steelers wide receiver and former Miami Norland star Antonio Brown.

In returning home, Brown – who has made a habit of wearing custom cleats this season that have drawn praise from fans and fines from the NFL – is honoring two Miami sports stars who passed away this year.

On his Twitter page, Brown revealed cleats for this weekend’s game featuring MMA fighter Kimbo Slice and Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez:

Brown has been fined this season for wearing cleats with pictures of everyone from his kids to other sports legends that have died this year, boxing great Muhammad Ali and golf legend Arnold Palmer.

Brown likely will not wear the cleats during the actual game to avoid a fine, but will wear them during warmups beforehand. The Dolphins and Steelers will kickoff Sunday at 1 PM at Hard Rock Stadium.
