His name alone can win applause for a visiting foreign dignitary.

Such was the case Friday when U.S. Secretary of State Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton mentioned boxer Manny Pacquiao to students at a town hall meeting in Manila.

"Of course the Pacman's going to win. I mean, is there any doubt?" Clinton said at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, where she entertained questions during the nationally televised forum with hundreds of students.

The students are sure to be among the many fans cheering Saturday night when Pacquiao, who trains with Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym near Santa Monica Boulevard and Vine Street in LA, will battle Miguel Cotto in a scheduled 12-rounder from the sold-out MGM Grand arena in Las Vegas.

The winner of the 145-pound bout could get a megafight against undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.
