Reimer Returns, Panthers Lose Sixth Straight

James Reimer returned to the ice in Florida's 6-3 loss to the Blues on Wednesday in Sunrise

The Florida Panthers dropped a sixth consecutive game, with their 6-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.

After missing several games, James Reimer was back in the net for Florida. While Reimer's return was a welcome sight, the results were the same for the Panthers. Florida did not win in Reimer's absence and has not picked up a victory since March 25th.

Vincent Trocheck scored Florida's first goal of the game during the second period. The goal was Trocheck's 23rd of the year and had assists on it from Jaromir Jagr and Ian McCoshen.

Michael Matheson tied the game with his seventh goal of the season during the third period. Alex Petrovic and Jonathan Huberdeau both had assists on the score.

After the Blues took the lead once again, Denis Malgin tied things up once more. Malgin's goal was his fifth of the season and it had assists on it from Colton Sceviour and Jason Demers.

The Blues would score the next three goals to put away the win. Reimer ended up with 32 saves in his 37 chances.

The Panthers will play their final home game of the season on Saturday, when they host the Buffalo Sabres at 7:00 p.m.
