Wade Scores 32 in 2nd Straight Win for Heat

The Heat beat one of the best teams in the NBA on Wednesday behind 32 points from Wade

The Miami Heat won their third game in their last four tries with a 108-104 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night.

Miami trailed the game by nine at the half but battled back for the win. Dwyane Wade scored Miami's final eight points down the stretch including two crucial free throws with nine seconds to go in the game.

The win gave Miami solo possession of the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference pending the result of the Boston Celtics' game. The Heat can also move to only two and a half-games back of sixth place if Milwaukee falls on Wednesday.

Portland has one of the better records in the NBA and currently sits in fourth place of the tough Western Conference. After a win the other day over Cleveland, the Heat have now beaten two straight title contenders in a row.

Wade was a big reason for the win as he scored 32 points in 32 minutes to lead the team. Wade also contributed four rebounds and six assists while taking a team-high 26 attempts from the field.

Goran Dragic also had himself a huge game with 20 points and 11 assists to give him a double-double. Dragic has continued to make a major difference since coming over Phoenix at the trade deadline.

Hassan Whiteside also had a double-double with his 12 points and ten rebounds. The center also had six blocks in another impactful game.

The Heat will wrap up their three-game home-stand with a game against the Denver Nuggets on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
