Week 7 Preview: Dolphins at Bears

The Dolphins will try to put a tough loss behind them when they take on the Bears on Sunday

The Miami Dolphins will be looking for a much needed win on Sunday when they take on the Chicago Bears.

Last week Miami looked to be on the verge of a big win against the Green Bay Packers before Aaron Rodgers led his team to a win as time expired. With only three seconds left on the clock, the Packers picked up the game-winning score and handed Miami a devastating loss. Instead of being 3-2, the Dolphins are now 2-3 and sit in third place in the AFC East.

The Bears are 3-3 this season but interestingly are 0-2 at Soldier Field. The Bears have thus far been road warriors but this one will be played on their home field. The Dolphins meanwhile are 1-1 when playing outside of Miami this season with that one win coming in London.

The Dolphins know they will be without Knowshon Moreno only a week after getting him back. The running back returned from a dislocated elbow in limited duty last week but fell victim to a torn ACL that will keep him out for the rest of the season.

With Moreno on the shelf, Lamar Miller will continue to serve as the primary running back. It is a role he's held since Moreno went down in week two. Moreno has done an admirable job as the top runner for the most part and will likely need another solid day on Sunday if Miami is to win.

Ryan Tannehill started off very poorly last week against the Packers but then turned things around and led Miami to a near comeback win. Tannehill could blame some of his woes this year on the play calling but he also has thrown five picks to go along with eight touchdowns. Last week Tannehill's two touchdown passes were accompanied by two interceptions. That ratio will need to improve or it could be a long day in Chicago on Sunday.

Miami did a pretty good job against Rodgers last week in terms of pressure and it will need to do more of the same against Jay Cutler. The Bears quarterback has a propensity for poor decisions when under pressure. One turnover in Miami's favor could end up being the deciding factor in what is expected to be a close contest.

On the injury report, Jimmy Wilson is listed as doubtful for Miami. No players are out for the Dolphins officially. On the Chicago side, Lance Briggs and Chris Conte are both out for the game.

Sunday's game is set to kick off at 1:00 p.m. from Soldier Field in Chicago.
