Waiting for a new iPhone before you upgrade?
This time, you might have options.
A according to the Wall Street Journal, Cupertino-based Apple has instructed assembler Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. to commence shipping on two new versions in early September. Citing “people familiar with the matter,” the paper said Apple plans on introducing high- and low-end models.
Apple has released new iPhones in the Fall since 2011 and as part of a Sept. 10 event, was already expected to announce a gold-colored version called the iPhone 5C. In the past, new iPhone models have been available within two weeks after being unveiled.
