Albert Ellison has been charged with attempted murder

An elderly Miami man is in jail after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend with a hammer over who was going to pay for dinner.

Albert Richard Ellison, 75, has been charged with attempted murder for his hammer time attack on Channel Williams on Aug. 30.

According to the police report, Ellison became enraged after Williams asked him for money to pay for some take-out food.

But the attack wasn't over.

Police said he choked the woman and then punched her in the face. Williams was admitted to the hospital with multiple bruises and later released.

Ellison is still in a Miami-Dade county jail cell on $25,000 bond.
