Man Pulls Driver Out of Car, Attacks Him for Speeding: Police

Raul Pavon, 27, told police he attacked the man because he was tired of him speeding through his apartment building's parking lot.

A Marathon man was arrested after he pulled another man out of his car and attacked him, authorities said.

Raul Pavon, 27, forcefully opened a man's car door while the man was stopped in the parking lot of the Sea Grape apartment complex, according to a Monroe County Sheriff's Office news release. Pavon pulled the victim out of the car and began to attack him, the release said.

Pavon pushed the man and told him he was going to beat him, authorities said. The victim's wife tried to stop the fight, but Pavon pushed her as well, according to the release.

The victim's mother, who was in the car, witnessed the fight and alerted deputies.

When he was taken into custody, Pavon told police he attacked the man because he was tired of him speeding through the parking lot complex where his daughter sometimes walks around, according to the release.

Raul Pavon, 27, was charged with two counts of battery, burglary to a vehicle and criminal mischief.

A jail official said he was no longer in custody. It wasn't immediately known if Pavon has an attorney.
