Long Island Burglar Tried to Steal Massager, Paper Shredder: Police

The suspect told police that the home he was breaking into belonged to his uncle

Police caught a man trying to steal a rotary telephone, paper shredder and therapeutic massager from a Long Island home Friday afternoon.

Nassau County officers found the burglar inside a Roosevelt home after getting a burglary call there. When they found the unusual items in the man’s book bag, along with the homeowner’s wallet and credit cards, the burglar told police that the house belonged to his uncle.

But officers found out later that the burglar wasn't related to the homeowner and an arrest was made. The man was charged with third-degree burglary and possession of burglar tools.
