The cops couldn't fault James Francois for laughing his head off even after they slapped the handcuffs on him. He was still high on laughing gas.
The 22-year-old and a 16-year-old companion were arrested on their way back to Broward County from the Keys for driving under the influence of nitrous oxide - or what you may know as laughing gas.
The two were so apparently so giddy they decided to share their fun by throwing fire crackers out of the truck they were driving. That's when witnesses called the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies arrived, they found 100 canisters of nitrous oxide and some marijuana in the truck Francois was driving. The two told police they used 50 of the canisters to get high.
Now the two men face charges of inhaling dangerous chemicals and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
