Officers at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport who noticed "abnormalities" while inspecting a woman discovered nearly three pounds of cocaine in her bra, officials said.
The discovery was made back on Aug. 2 as the Jamaican woman was traveling through the airport, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said.
Officers discovered a white powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine and found about 2.7 pounds, officials said. The woman, whose identity wasn't released, was arrested.
"This is another excellent example of our CBP officers’ expertise in preventing dangerous drugs from entering the United States," Airport Director Jorge Roig said in a statement. "CBP officers demonstrate vigilance, integrity and professionalism on a daily basis."
