Pembroke Pines Fire Department spokesman Tom Gallgaher talks to the media about the car that crashed into a preschool Wednesday morning.
A sports utility vehicle, driven by a parent, slammed into an occupied classroom at a Pembroke Pines preschool on Wednesday, Fire Rescue said.
The black Nissan sport utility vehicle hit La Petite Academy at the 12100 block of SW 14th Street at 9 a.m. It hit the building's south wall, which is adjacent to the school parking lot. At the time, there were nine children and two teachers inside. None of whom were injured.
The parent had a child inside the car as well, but the child was not injured.
The classroom was evacuated and the driver was taken to Memorial West Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
