Teen Suspect Wounded in Police-Involved Shooting

Authorities are investigating a police-involved shooting that ended with a teen suspect hospitalized and a stolen Mercedes SUV in the side of a duplex in Sunrise Thursday. Lauderhill Police spokesman Capt. Rick Rocco spoke about the incident.

Authorities are searching for a suspect who allegedly shot a man in the back and took his pants in Fort Lauderdale Friday night.


Spokesman for the Lauderhill Police Department Rick Rocco said the victim did not sustain life-threatening injuries when he was shot inside the Unisex Beauty Salon at 3165 W. Broward Boulevard around 6:30 p.m.

The suspect fled wearing the victim's pants, a red shirt and a red bandana, police said.

Rocco said the victim was taken to the Broward General Medical Center.
