Nathalie Pozo joined the NBC 6 team in March 2010 as Today in South Florida’s Traffic reporter. She also co-anchors the South Florida Today 11am show.
Before joining NBC 6, she was working at WPBF 25 News in West Palm Beach where she was the first in-studio traffic reporter, providing time-saving traffic updates each weekday morning and afternoons. She also had a weekly live entertainment segment, “Out to Lunch,” during which she would showcase the best and most unique restaurants throughout the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast.
Nathalie began her career as a general assignment reporter for WCJB-TV, the ABC affiliate in Gainesville, Florida, where she covered the North Central Florida Wildfires, the sentencing of John Couey, and the 2007 Central Florida tornadoes. Nathalie was honored by the Society of Professional Journalists for her story about a single, disabled father’s struggle and sacrifice to provide a good life for his daughter.
Nathalie was raised in Miami and is very excited to be back home in South Florida. She earned her degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami where she was an anchor and reporter for UMTV’s Newsvision and its entertainment Spanish-language program. She received a National Broadcasting Society Award for her coverage on the effects of Hurricane Wilma.
As Miss Cuban-American 2002, Nathalie received a Key to the City of Coral Gables for representing the Cuban-American woman. Nathalie was also crowned Miss Carnaval Miami 2005, representing the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, a volunteer organization which dedicates it's time to helping the youth of South Florida.
