Feeding South Florida Will Need "Significant Support" From Community To Keep Doors Open, CEO Says

The nonprofit organization Feeding South Florida is feeling the impact of the federal government shutdown, now in its 11th day. "30 percent of our inventory and 30 percent of our revenue comes from the federal government through the state,” CEO Paco Velez said. With the impact of the shutdown and increased requests for food, Velez said, “we are going to need significant support from the community to keep the doors open." NBC 6’s Hank Tester reports.
