Joe Rose joined the NBC 6 Sports Team in the fall of 1992. He currently serves as a sportscaster and sports analyst throughout the week.

Along with appearing on TV, morning radio fans have come to know Rose from his work on WQAM-AM for the past fourteen years.

Rose became a sportscaster as a natural extension of his college and professional football career. He was a seventh round draft pick from the University of California at Berkeley and later a tight-end for the Miami Dolphins from 1980 through 1986.

Aside from his radio and television work, Rose is probably best known for catching Dan Marino's first touchdown pass of his professional career. In addition, he had the distinction of having caught two touchdown passes in the Miami and San Diego match-up in 1982. Earlier in 1980, during his rookie year with the Dolphins, he was also voted MVP in the East/West All Star Game.

The Marysville, Calif. native currently lives in Broward County.
