10/23: Friday's on Pointe

Miami City Ballet, Tom and Jerry (sans Tom), and cars

TUTU MUCH FUN: Miami City Ballet, the ballet big shots around here, are known for their exceptional dancing (and their obsession with Balanchine). See them dans l'action at the Ziff Ballet Opera House with their first program of the season, Program I. Seats range from $19-$69, with the $39 option to dine at Prelude by Barton G., the opera house's in-house restaurant. It's all-inclusive, and all-awesome. 8 P.M.

TOM AND JERRY: More like Jerry Seinfeld, minus Tom. The man who started "the show about nothing" will be at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, doing what he does best: making people laugh. You'll get to be the audience Jerry speaks to at the end of the show for once. 7 P.M.

ALL ABOUT CARS: Gearheads rejoice, the 39th Annual South Florida International Auto Show is in town this weekend. It starts today, though you can expect an entire weekend of cars, car parts, car accessories, and everything you can possibly imagine related to cars. Be sure to check their website to receive a coupon for $2 off admission. 5 P.M.
