11/10: Tuesday's Off to See the Wizards (and Heat)

Wizards and Heat, wind and water, and Crazy Pianos

WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY: Come watch the Heat take on the Wizards at the American Airlines Arena. The Wizards have a point to prove with Gilbert Arenas back after missing two seasons due to injury. With Haywood and Miller joining Arenas in the fight, it'll surely prove to be a nail-biter. Tickets start at $10. Ring the bell, Apollo. 7:30 P.M.

COLORS OF THE WIND: The Wind and the Water is a one-of-a-kind film. We know so because it's the first documentary ever made by an indigenous Panamanian tribe. Director Vero Bollow handed over complete creative freedom to the Kuna people to write, crew, and star in this film. The result: A well-done narrative about the classic theme of clashing cultures, playing at Miami Beach Cinematheque. Move over, Pocahontas. 7 P.M.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING: Crazy Pianos usually draws crowds all on its own (they have pianos that duel! Who wouldn't be impressed?). They're even willing to lend their crowd to a good cause: the restoration of Miami's historic places. Support Dade Heritage Trust's cause with complimentary drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and a $25 donation. To RSVP, call 305-358-9572. 6:30 P.M.
