11/18: Wednesday's on Fire

AFI, a Musical Manadala, and a new, fun area code

FUEGO, FUEGO: AFI (short for "A Fire Inside" -- clever) will be rocking out in the M-I-A tonight. The concert was originally held at Pompano Beach Amphitheater (foul play, maybe? Who knows), but don't worry, if you bought your ticket for PBA, it's still valid, just present it at the entrance. These four guys from Cali know how to put on one heck of a show. Revolution Live, 8 P.M.

MANDALA TO MY EARS: For all you classical music enthusiasts out there, there's a whole music series just for you. Violinist Gil Morgenstern is presenting Reflections, starting out with composer Johann Sebastian Bach, circling through works of many other timeless musicians. Parts two and three will be in February and May. Bass Museum of Art, 7:30 P.M.

305'S OLD NEWS: A new(ish) area code, a new party. Miami's best hotspot you haven't heard of yet is throwing a party for the 786 every Wednesday, the best way it knows how: no cover, no hassle, cheap drinks. Now that's what we call "top notch." Purdy Lounge, 10 P.M.
