1/17: Drink the Vote

Cocktails for a cause, indie film in the Gables and Drumline at Kravis

COCKTAILS FOR A CAUSE: It's not every day you get to exercise democracy and support philanthropy while boozing it up. But thanks to Miami Magazine and Ketel One Vodka's Modern Gentlemen, you can do just that. Simply visit one of the locations where each local gentleman - each involved in a charity organization - has a signature cocktail for you to try. Vote on your favorite, and the winner gets a donation to his charity.

WE DO: Say yes to Coral Gables Art Cinema's latest offering, "White Wedding." The comedy set in South Africa follows three women in various stages of love, and throws in a goat for extra laughs. 8:30 P.M.

THE BEAT GOES ON: Admit it - every time "Drumline" comes on cable, you cancel all other plans and put on the Snuggie. Put on some sensible clothes and head to the Kravis Center for "Drumline," which was inspired by the movie but so much better because, well, it's live (and doesn't involve wearing infomercial products). 7:30 P.M.

We wanna text you up! Know where to sip and be seen every night of the week by texting MIATONIGHT to 639710.
