COMING TO AMERICA: Pilates. Big Macs. Paris Hilton. Sometimes even we don't get America. In the Cannes award-winning "Amreeka," a single mom and her teenage son leave the West Bank for Illinois, where they struggle to transition from Western Wall to Wal-Mart. Miami Beach Cinematheque, 9:15 p.m.

PAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE: We know Miami isn't at the top of any Most Well-Read Cities lists. Unless it's Us Weekly. But for one week out of the year, we put on our smart-looking glasses and head to Miami Book Fair International. Tonight is the 2nd event in the "Evenings With" series and stars Barbara Kingsolver of "The Poisonwood Bible" fame. Bring a Snuggie and settle in for a story or two. 7:30 p.m.

FRESH MEAT: South Beach finds a way to spice everything up (bowling? Disco bowling!), including burgers. 8 Oz Burger Bar just announced some new additions to their meaty menu, including the Thanksgiving Day burger -- turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce -- and the Breakfast burger - applewood bacon, egg, hash browns. But our favorite is the Suds and Slider, which comes with a 4-beer flight. Because we're fancy like that.
