12/11: Friday's Just Being Koy

Jo Koy, Sean Paul, Shaggy, and John McCain (just kidding)

DON'T BE KOY: Jo Koy, that is. The only comedian to have gotten a standing ovation during Leno's old gig on The Tonight Show will be in sunny Miami this weekend. We should warn you, he could quite possibly be the most hyperactive comedian there is. The Washington native uses this to this advantage, and can really get a crowd going. Ha! We know your secret, Jo, and we're on to you. Miami Improv, 8:30 & 10:45 P.M.

GET BUSY DANCING: There's an epidemic among us (don't worry, it's not H1N1). Miamians know that when Jungle Fever hits, it's on. The coolest epidemic to hit Miami will hit an all-time high with Sean Paul and Shaggy in the house. They'll be performing their biggest hits that'll guarantee a booty shakin' good time. As Sean Paul says, "Get Busy," and purchase those tickets already, we're sure they'll go quick. Hard Rock Live, 8 P.M.

THE LONE MAVERICK: No we're not talking about John McCain (though there's a lot to say about him). We're talking Mavericks in the plural form, as in the Dallas Mavericks, who will be taking on the Heat tonight. Do the patriotic thing and watch a classic American sport, a game that originated in the good ol' U.S.A. You'll feel even more patriotic when our Heat give the Mavs the classic beat down, Wade style. American Airlines Arena, 7:30 P.M.
