2/14: Roses Are Red

Violets are blue...You know the drill.

DRAG IT OUT: Did you wake up this morning and think to yourself, "Oh good, it's Sunday." If you didn't realize today is Valentine's Day, then we have the perfect event for you. Call your fellow single pals, gather the entourage and head out tonight to Life's A Drag at Voodoo Lounge in Fort Lauderdale. This drag show not only has no cover before 10 and free drinks till 11, but also some of the most beautiful "ladies" you have ever seen. Once the shows are done, there will be dancing by three amazing DJs all night long in the 10,000 square foot club. At closing time, you probably won't want to leave -- but don't question it, it's the Voodoo, baby. 9 PM.

ALMOST-FREE LOVE: Love is what we have been told is all we need. If today you have a love, you might know that loving is free, but showing it sometimes take a few dollars. Tonight, instead of bringing your main squeeze to your usual dinning spot, treat your lover to jazz and a picnic. All you need to do is bring a basket and blanket to enjoy jazz by Grammy award-winning musician Jon Secada at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables. Music, flowers and your company will be sure to get you some points with your loved one in the Valentine's Day originality department. 7 PM.

Vida la Vida! Looking to woo your lover tonight over a candlelit dinner? Well, we can't promise candlelight, but out of all the prix fixe menus out there, this is our particular favorite. Tonight at Vida at everyone's choice South Beach hot spot The Fontainebleau, you can come enjoy not just dinner, but a feast that will definitely fit your budget. There is a three course meal, including lobster bisque, braised short rib and crab thermidor, miso glazed halibut and fondue to end the night. $55 per person, or $75 per person with wine pairing. Don't just eat, eat sweet. Reservation at 877-326-741.
