7/4: Light up the Night

All day dance party, rooftop fireworks, and an all night after party

IndepenDANCE: Once a year the ultimate birthday celebration takes place, and EVERYONE is invited. Wherever you are, a nearby party has begun, so it's time to pick your venue. Miami dance party host Buster is leading this 12-hour soiree at the Doubletree's Surfcomber Hotel, rain or shine. The #1 voted DJ in the world since 2007 is attending, so the beats are sure to please. Pull out your most fabulous bathing suit and live the life a video vixen for the day. Tickets available at the door for $80. 11 AM-11 PM.

THE WORKS: Let’s not forget about the age-old, potentially dangerous Independence Day tradition. Maybe you’ve arranged a fireworks show of your own, or plan to arrive at the beach in hopes of finding a front row seat. But then again maybe you would rather reserve it. The Clevelander hotel is throwing a rooftop celebration this evening with DJ Geenius, models and “patriotic entertainment.” Guests atop the hotel’s C-Level roof will witness Miami Beach’s 8th Street fireworks display choreographed to a live performance by the Greater Miami Youth Symphony, streamed live at the hotel. Purchase advance tickets for $20 or $40 at the door. 7 PM-1 AM.

AFTER PARTY: You’ve filled your face with the finest BBQ, kicked back a few American classic beers, and maybe a red white and blue cocktail or two and now it's time to pull an all-nighter. This party is only for strong willed and able bodies, so if a twelve-hour party just is not long enough, Club Space is hosting an after party. Starting at 11 PM, doors open to Laidback Luke’s first appearance at this all night affair featuring an opening set by local DJ Aramis Lorie and DJ Set. Can you handle it? By tickets online until 8 PM tonight. Arrive before midnight for $20. Before 2 AM for $30.
