8/16: Shots, Cinema and Soul

So much tequila, so little judgment.

SURE SHOT: Tacos and tequila go together like Posh and Becks. But unlike Posh and Becks, tacos and tequila won't leave you feeling empty on the inside. Quite the opposite, actually, and the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne's Cantina Beach restaurant offers a spread of tacos al pastor starting at 2 P.M. and tequila tastings starting at 6 P.M.

GET LOOPED: Sundance Film Fest fave "In the Loop" - which screens tonight at the Miami Beach Cinematheque -- combines two of our favorite things: British comedy and making fun of people. People in power positions, to be more specific. The "Wag The Dog"-esque satire is from the team that does the hilarious BBC series "Alan Partridge and the Thick of It," and you know how clever those British folks can be. 9:15 P.M.

LET YOUR SOUL GLOW: After one too many renditions of "Living on a Prayer" (don't even try to hit the high notes, people), you've sworn off Karaoke Night. Well, until your friend's bachelorette party next week. In the mean time, get your impromptu jam fix at the Van Dyke's Vintage Soul night (think blues not Bon Jovi), during which local musicians are invited to show off their musical chops with the help of the house band. 9 P.M.-1 A.M.
