8/17: It's Monday, Give Us Shelter

Tonight, hang with Mick, Chad or Judas

LIKE A ROLLING STONE: Wikipedia will tell you that Cinema Verite is a style of documentary filmmaking. It'll also tell you "Gimme Shelter," which screens at Cinema Paradiso tonight, is a documentary chronicling The Rolling Stones' 1969 US tour, which culminated in the disastrous Altamont free concert. In honor of the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, go see how a music festival can go so wrong. Hell's Angels providing security, who thought that might not work out? 7 P.M.

YOU'RE EITHER FIN OR YOU'RE OUT:  Your Miami Dolphins are the defending AFC Champions. So head out to the game to see the players that won't make the Dolphins team play against all the players that won't be on the Jaguars. 7:30 P.M.

HEY, JUDAS: If there's a Jaguar in the parking lot of the Seminole Hard Rock with Tawny Kitaen writhing around on the hood, and it's Monday, then you know Whitesnake's rocking out inside. If it's not Monday, Whitesnake's not performing and the whole thing would just be weird.

Update: It appears that Judas Priest will be playing with themselves on Monday. Whitesnake has cancelled the next two weeks of their tour due to Whitesnake's singer suffering from some nasty sounding throat ailment. 7:30 P.M.
