8/19: Take a Bite Out of Wednesday Night

Hey, this isn't an apple.

GOLDEN DELICIOUS: Teachers and Gwenyth Paltrow love them, and now you will, too - at least in its latest incarnation, a new restaurant and nightspot. Miami inherits another L.A. establishment with the opening of Apple. The cuisine is contemporary American, with Bryan Ogden - son of James Beard Award-winning chef Bradley Ogden - in the kitchen. Once the dinner plates are cleared, the restaurant morphs into a nightclub. 8-10 P.M.

PHOTO FINISH: Just sent your last Netflix in? Not emotionally stable enough to see "The Time Traveler's Wife"? Get your international culture fix and go see the latest installment of the Miami Beach Cinematheque's Global Lens series, "The Photograph." All the way from Indonesia, this feature film is about a woman who works in a brothel to support her family and ends up becoming the tenant of an old photographer. A special relationship forms, and a slice of poignant humanity ensues. 8:30 P.M.

THEIR NAME IS JONAS: That's right. We went there. We don't even know that much about the Jonas Brothers, other than maybe one is a virgin and the Obama daughters like them. Maybe they're all really talented. So if an arena full of screaming pre-teens doesn't faze you, then head to the BankAtlantic Center tonight, where they'll be performing favorites like, um, "OMG, I Like You." Or something. 7 P.M.
